Tendonitis & Bursitis

Joint pain is not always arthritis

Tendonitis and bursitis are both conditions that involve inflammation of soft tissues around joints. They can cause pain, swelling, and limited range of motion. While they share some similarities, they affect different structures in the body.

Tendonitis refers to inflammation of a tendon, which is the thick cord that attaches muscles to bones.

Bursitis is the inflammation of a bursa, which is a small, fluid-filled sac that acts as a cushion and reduces friction between bones and soft tissues.
